What is the best AI training for a UK business team?
The best AI training is the kind your team still uses a month later. In practice that means four things: it runs on the tools your organisation has actually licensed, it uses your team's own documents and tasks rather than demo material, it's small enough for a trainer to see every screen, and there's something after the day (a follow-up session, a shared prompt library, a champion) so the habit sticks.
A generic "introduction to AI" course fails on all four. That's why gov.uk's employer guide, Skills for AI: what works for AI upskilling in the UK, recommends training that is practical, role-relevant and built into normal work rather than one-off awareness sessions.
Day Seven sessions are lab-style. Minimal slides. A trainer at the front, everyone with a laptop open, working through tasks the team agreed with us beforehand: this month's report, that customer email backlog, the meeting notes nobody writes up. Cohorts are around 16 people. Larger groups run as several cohorts.

Should we train on ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude or Gemini?
Train on whichever you've paid for, and be clear about which tasks belong where.
Microsoft 365 Copilot is the right choice when the team lives in Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and your IT team has switched on the licences. It's strongest on meeting summaries, inbox catch-up and drafting from documents already in SharePoint. Copilot training.

What's included in a Day Seven programme?
Before the day: a scoping call to agree tools, tasks and format; a short survey of attendees; two or three real, non-sensitive examples from the team so the exercises use their own work; a guardrails note agreed with whoever owns data and security.
On the day: a trainer who has run the tools in a business, not just presented about them; exercises on the team's material; a shared prompt library built as we go; a plain-English guardrails briefing (what never goes in a prompt, where a person signs off).
After the day: the prompt library and templates; a summary for managers of what was covered and what to expect; optional follow-up sessions, champions support or desk-side coaching; and an agreed way to check whether it worked, set out in measuring the return on AI training.

What's the difference between AI training and AI consulting?
Training builds skill in your people. Consulting makes decisions for the organisation: which tools are allowed, what the policy says, how adoption is measured, whether ISO/IEC 42001 is worth pursuing. Most teams need some of both, and buying them separately usually means the training ignores the policy and the policy ignores how people actually work. How do we know it worked?
Agree two or three tasks before the session. Time them before and after. Ask managers a month later whether the tasks are being done with the tool and how often. Do you deliver AI training on-site anywhere in the UK?
Yes. We're based in Leeds and deliver on-site across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Travel within the UK is agreed up front. Teams spread across sites can join a live online cohort instead.
What is the minimum group size?
Ten. Workshops run at around 16 people so the trainer can see every screen; larger groups run as several cohorts, often on consecutive days.
How much does corporate AI training cost in the UK?
Price depends on group size, format and whether you want follow-up. A half-day workshop for one team is the smallest engagement; a multi-department programme with coaching is the largest. Can you train non-technical staff?
Yes. Most of the people we train are not technical. Sessions use plain language and everyday tasks; there's no coding unless you've booked the engineering track.
Can you train our executives separately?
Yes. Leadership sessions cover direction, risk appetite, guardrails and personal fluency, and usually run before the wider team is trained so the guardrails are set first. See AI for leadership.
Do we need licences before the training?
Ideally attendees can sign in to the tool on your current plan so they practise in their own environment. If you're still piloting, we can run a demo-led version and tailor the hands-on parts later.
Can you cover Microsoft Copilot and Claude in the same programme?
Yes. Many clients run Copilot for everyone and Claude or ChatGPT for particular teams. We train both and show which tasks belong in which tool.
Do you run public courses?
Occasionally, in Leeds, and a live online Claude Masterclass. Most of our work is private training for a single organisation. See workshops.
How long does a programme take to set up?
A single workshop can usually be scoped and delivered within three to four weeks. Multi-department programmes take longer to plan; we agree the schedule at scoping.
Is Day Seven a UK company?
Yes. DAYSEVEN LTD is registered in England and based in Leeds. The founder, Qasim Ahmed, spent 15 years leading digital learning teams at Aviva, KPMG and William Hill.
Can the training be funded through the apprenticeship levy?
